A 1991 Bike magazine review of the GPz900R in its later, 1990-update form with 17-inch front wheel and 300 mm front discs. The review says it remained fast, stable and comfortable and was cheap compared with newer Kawasaki models. It also notes that the engine was largely unchanged from its 1983 design and that rivals had closed the performance gap.
